Hi! Welcome to my website. I’m glad you’re here!

I’m a strength and conditioning coach, a personal trainer with a specialization in fitness nutrition, an assisted stretch and flexibility practitioner, author, and podcaster.

I have a Master’s degree in Public Administration and worked in academia before having the luxury to be a stay home mom for 9 years!

I started my fitness career by coaching bootcamp classes. Eventually I took on one-on-one clients, and started my “driveway gym” group class out of my home. Throughout the process of growing as a coach and trainer, I found myself drawn to athletic training and felt a strong pull to work with teenage athletes. Now, I’m the Head Coach at Southshore Performance Training in Metairie, LA where coaching and training teenagers, mostly girls, is 95% of my job. I focus on training the whole client, not just the athlete, incorporating nutritional guidance, and mindset and recovery work into our programming.

When I look at at the teen and tween girls I am fortunate to coach I see our future. I see opportunities for them that didn’t exist for us. I see kids who have more information at their fingertips than we had in an entire high school library. I see insane social pressures and sky high expectations from a world that we gladly didn’t have to worry about at their age. I see sports and training as a necessary outlet for today’s youth. The physiological and emotional benefits of physical activity are well documented and include reduced rates of anxiety and depression, improved concentration and memory, cardiovascular benefits, honing time management skills, learning that losing does not equal failing, etc.

These girls are smart, driven, and extremely competent. They are awesome! Why wouldn’t I want to make a career out of coaching them?

I am the host of “Her Time” podcast, and the author of “The Teenage Athletes’ Nutrition Journal.” I’ve been featured on multiple podcasts, and also authored a chapter in the collaborative book “What’s Next” about the specific issues facing teenage girl athletes and the importance of training teenage girls well. I live in my hometown of New Orleans, LA with my husband and two kids.
